I have to admit, I had to keep up with the World Cup as I worked in the shop. My little TV sufficed for close up replays.

Tuning inside St. Pauls (on Bloor street near Church) was a very wild acoustic experience. In that giant room the the percussive whack of the hammer in the upper register notes resonated louder than the tone of the string.

Recently i was replacing the bass strings in the beautiful residence of the president of U of T.

We rebuilt some pianos from schools around Toronto over the summer, some of them complete with graffiti.

Most of the ribs had lifted from the sound board from this old mendelssohn upright. We glued and clamped them back together with clamps made out of piano wire, tuning pins and pinblock wood.

Serge, the nine fingered Russian welder came to the shop today to repair a cracked plate in the Berdux upright.

A strange old German Berdux piano came into the shop the other day. Bizarre action design and an amazing sound board decal.

Recently I tuned a white grand piano on the 10th floor studio of the CBC for the new years special of the Ron James show.

Tuned ‘er up for a fancy wedding at the Royal York. Looked nice at first but there were spilled drinks, melted wax and broken glass all over the inside of the piano.
